Vaginal Drying
In some cultures, women use herbal mixtures to dry the lining of the vagina. This practice tightens the vagina during intercourse, and may cause micro-lesions during penetration, thereby increasing the risk of HIV transmission. A well-lubricated vagina reduces the risk of HIV transmission.
